Memphis Metro Science Fair aims to level the playing field in STEM education throughout the Greater Memphis Area. Our focus is on underprivileged students and schools that do not have a financially feasible population and support system to ensure access to quality STEM learning. Inclusivity, Equality, Opportunity, and Growth are just a few words that describe the principles that this fair operates on. We are deeply dedicated to empowering underprivileged students by leading fundraising initiatives. Our goal is to procure essential resources, including textbooks, laptops, lab kits, and workshops, for both our peers and their schools. This concerted effort is aimed not only at bridging the resource gap but also at equalizing the landscape of STEM exposure in Memphis. What sets us apart is not only the fact that MMSF is the first-ever science fair in the United States of America to provide economically disadvantaged students with the resources and opportunity to immerse in STEM at a competitive and large-scope but also the self-confidence and trust we are able to set within these students through the diverse pathways we guide them on. In the STEM-driven society that we live in today, we envision a world where every child has equal opportunities to engage in STEM, and to that end, we are proud to say that the Memphis Metro Science Fair is the first seed that we have planted to reach this feat.
